Some people measure summer by warmer weather, some by the end of the school year. At Bluewater, we know it’s here when our interns start! This season, we have a great class and are looking forward to seeing what this group of talented students is able to accomplish. Get to know a little bit about them below.
Mikayla Szalay: Mikayla is coming to us from Embry Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida where she studies Human Factor Psychology and is expected to graduate in 2021. She will be working with our Marketing team and is thrilled to be in a workplace setting learning new things. Fun facts about Mikayla? She plays soccer at her university, is a twin, and loves being on the lake in the summertime.
Brendan Richardson: As a rising freshman at the College for Creative Studies, Brendon is majoring in product design and fashion accessories design. He is looking forward to working with our Creative team and learning the process we use when designing for clients. Outside of work, Brendan is involved in Boy Scouts of America and the Industrial Design Society of America. He also writes songs, plays the bass guitar, and can rap the fast part of “Rap God” by Eminem.
Logan McDill: Logan will be working with our Live Events team this summer. He is a film major at Wayne State University, expecting to graduate in 2022, and is in the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. During his time with Bluewater, Logan is excited to learn more about the business aspect of the company and how we create audio visual experiences for our clients. Logan loves to swim and play with his dog; he even wrestled at a national level for 10 years!
Brendan McCarthy: This is Brendan’s second summer with our Operations team, and we are happy to have him back! He is going into his senior year at Northwood University where he majors in advertising & marketing with a minor in management. While he’s here, Brendon is focused on expanding his business knowledge and gaining as much real world experience as possible. Brendan is well-traveled, having been to over 10 countries in Europe!
Nick Zupancic: Nick is a sophomore at the University of Michigan where he majors in Aerospace Engineering. This summer, he is working with our software team, and is looking forward to working in an office setting and gaining the practical skills needed to succeed. At school, Nick is an avid sports fan and holds season tickets for football and hockey! When he isn’t at a game or working, you can find him water skiing or ice skating.
Jacob Zupancic: As a recent graduate of the University of Michigan with a degree in sports management, Jacob is working with our Sales and Marketing teams. He is very excited to learn the ins and outs of business through the lens of Bluewater, and is looking forward to learning how our departments collaborate with each other. Jacob loves sports, and played intramural football and soccer throughout college.
