In August 2024, Bluewater brought back its highly anticipated Tech Expo, a dynamic two-day event packed with educational opportunities, cutting-edge AV technology, and plenty of inspiration for attendees from across the AV industry. Held at our headquarters, the Expo brought together AV professionals, decision-makers, and industry leaders to explore the latest innovations, gain valuable insights, and network with peers.
Cutting-Edge Technology in Action
The highlight of the event was the XR (extended reality) Stage, presented by our partner, Planar. This state-of-the-art setup offered a glimpse into the future of virtual production, with two engaging educational sessions: Filming with LED and Tracking in Virtual Production. These sessions provided attendees with hands-on learning and in-depth knowledge about the role of LED technology in transforming modern film production. Another favorite was the Lifesize LED Coloring Book, a truly interactive and immersive experience that allowed attendees to “color in” images by simply waving their hands in front of the screen. It was a great demonstration of how interactive displays can bring creativity to life in both event settings and permanent installations.
And let’s not forget the crowd-pleasing Putt-Skee LED activation, which blended classic entertainment with modern technology. Attendees putted a golf ball toward the screen, watching as it “entered” the digital realm and scored points in virtual Putt-Skee holes. These activations not only captivated our guests but also showcased Bluewater’s experiential activation capabilities and our ability to create custom, engaging experiences that can be adapted for any event or installation.
Industry-Leading Exhibitors and Breakout Sessions
A wide array of booths from AV industry leaders were on display throughout the event, featuring companies such as K-WAV, Absen, Yealink, Spaceti, Barco, Crestron, Draper, and more. Attendees had the opportunity to explore cutting-edge products and solutions that are shaping the future of audiovisual technology.
In addition to the exhibitions, breakout sessions from these industry leaders offered valuable knowledge-sharing opportunities. Tech Expo 2024 featured two standout panel discussions that explored the evolving workplace.
