Control & Automation

Technology doesn't have to be complicated.

Plenty of technology systems have received a bad rap for being complicated to use. The more features you add the harder they seem to navigate, and the bigger the pile of remotes seems to grow. It may even feel like you need a PHD just to turn the system on. Control & Automation systems provide a way to combat to that by removing the complexity of audio visual systems, and taking the pile of remotes down to just one!

While control systems could carry a heavy price tag in the past, it’s not the case today. New products in the control space mean streamlined systems are accessible by all. With most devices now network enabled, system control covers a lot more ground. One control system can tackle an entire retail location – displays, lighting, audio, HVAC, doors, and more.

Our approach

There is a common problem with control system design: It’s often viewed as a direct replacement for remotes, instead of an opportunity to make the experience easier. The layouts, buttons, and workflow to get a space working still end up having a significant learning curve instead of helping to increase the speed and rate of technology adoption.

We approach control & automation with non-technical end users in mind. Clean intuitive layouts, or simple to follow on screen prompts help guide users to the desired outcome – turn on audio, make an announcement, change content on a display. Given that the control panel is what most end users interact with, how it’s designed is critical to the tone towards technology and those who implement it.
