We recently had the opportunity to create an enchanting experience at the iconic Nordstrom flagship store in New York City which was installed on November 8, 2023 and was open through January 19th, 2024. The project, commissioned to celebrate the Wonder of Disney’s 100th Anniversary, showcased Bluewater’s expertise in creating immersive, interactive experiences. Our primary goal was to craft a bespoke retail experience that not only celebrated Disney’s century of magic but also engaged shoppers at Nordstrom.

Key Installations
5-Segment LED Wall: We installed a captivating 5-segment LED wall, featuring interactive elements inspired by Disney princesses. Each segment showcased a unique experience:
Tiana Harp: Visitors waved their hands across the harp on the LED screen, triggering the harp to wave and play music, creating an immersive musical experience.
Moana Video Reveal: Guests interacted by waving their hands in front of the LED screen, unveiling an exclusive video related to Moana.
Cinderella Video Reveal: Similar to the Moana activation, visitors revealed a specially curated Cinderella video by interacting with the LED screen.
Elsa Video Reveal: The LED wall allowed visitors to uncover a mesmerizing Elsa video by simply waving their hands, adding an element of surprise and delight.
Ariel Harp: The final segment featured an interactive Ariel Harp, where visitors could wave their hands across the harp on the LED screen, causing it to wave and play enchanting music.
Coloring Books (Touchscreen)
We also incorporated two touchscreen coloring book kiosks, offering visitors the opportunity to digitally color images of iconic Disney characters—Mickey and Minnie or Donald and Daisy. The interactive touchscreens allowed for an engaging and personalized experience. On the backside of each coloring book kiosk, we integrated displays with a combination of Disney and Nordstrom logos. This added an extra layer of branding and engagement, creating a cohesive visual experience.
The immersive Disney 100th Anniversary Celebration at Nordstrom proved to be a resounding success, achieving the desired objectives of engagement, brand collaboration, and celebration. The combination of cutting-edge AV technology, interactive LED walls, and touchscreen activations created a magical atmosphere that resonated with visitors and showcased Bluewater’s expertise in delivering memorable retail experiences.
