Odawa Casino is northern Michigan’s premier entertainment venue showcasing headliner concerts, a vibrant nightlife, and an upscale city lounge-feel. The Vegas-style casino features a huge gaming floor with 50,000 square feet of slot machines, roulette, craps, blackjack, and poker. Games aren’t the only source of entertainment, the casino also has an upscale restaurant, sports and entertainment lounges and Ovation Hall where the facility hosts big-name concert events. When Odawa Casino reached out to Bluewater, they were having various issues with their AV equipment that controlled the casino floor. They were also looking to upgrade their old nightclub and transform it into a brand-new sports and entertainment space.
Bluewater was excited to take on the challenge! Our system integration team designed and installed a brand-new video headend distribution system throughout the entire casino floor. The new infrastructure included a Creston NVX Video over IP solution which provided a much easier way to control all of the displays and media throughout the casino floor. We also installed over 40 LCD displays which were programmed into the new headend system – all controlled by a single Crestron panel.
In Victories nightclub, we installed the same video head end distribution system, brand new LCD Displays, DJ Booth audio, live stage lighting and sound and a 12 x 19 1.5 MM LED wall at the back of the live stage. Overall, Odawa Casino was thrilled to have a beautiful, upgraded entertainment venue and more importantly, a working operative system!
