Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park
An Immersive Garden Experience
Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park is a top Midwest cultural destination. Bluewater Studio was selected to manage, fabricate, and install their immersive family garden experience. Upon entry, visitors encounter a lushly illustrated carpet that sets the scene for a forgotten Victorian garden and encourages exploration within the space. Children can hang roses on the trellis, design their topiary, and plant vegetables at the gardener’s cottage.
A custom gazebo and fountain provide opportunities for rest and quiet play before exploring the central feature of the exhibit, the Secret Garden. Surrounded by a stone wall, the garden features a beautiful, stylized tree with built-in seating. A small book nook within the garden encourages children to stay and read under the lush, green leaf canopy.
