Every few years, Detroit’s midtown plays host to a festival of light: DLECTRICITY. And what a coincidence that we love lighting and challenging ourselves to create larger-than-life, unforgettable experiences! For the 2017 event, we created Luminaria Magna, a 25′ tall light box and DJ booth!
Put simply, this was a massive installation of light using energy-efficient LED. The attendees of DLECTRICITY became the artists creating an ever-changing display. They used pressure pads on the ground, turntables, a button grid, and a large “smash button” kiosk to control a different characteristic of the light.
