When Capital One showed up at the iconic Orange Bowl, the mission was simple: give fans something they could jump into, not just walk past. With thousands of fans pouring through Hard Rock Stadium, the activation needed to be bold, interactive, and fast-paced—just like the game itself.
Bluewater partnered alongside Solomon Group to deliver a custom, interactive fan activation that blended gameplay, LED, lighting, and real-time competition—turning pregame excitement into hands-on fun.
The Goal
The Orange Bowl isn’t just a football game—it’s a nationally recognized event with nonstop energy, constant movement, and very little margin for error.
Capital One was looking for an activation that:
- Grabbed attention in a crowded fan zone
- Encouraged fans to play, compete, and come back for more
- Supported multiple sports-style challenges
- Could be installed and removed within a tight stadium schedule
Above all, the experience needed to feel high-end, seamless, and unmistakably Capital One.
Inside the Fan Experience
Bluewater brought the activation to life with a large-scale, LED-driven game structure designed to pull fans in from every angle.
Once inside, fans could test their skills through interactive challenges such as:
- Passing Challenge
- Combine-style timed games
A custom registration system allowed brand ambassadors to enter player initials, instantly populating a live leaderboard that sparked friendly competition and kept the energy high throughout the day.

What We Built
The activation combined physical fabrication with immersive AV and lighting to create a visually striking centerpiece within the fan zone.
Key elements included:
- A multi-sided activation structure with an integrated LED pillar
- Live score and timing displays visible to both players and spectators
- LED ring and tube lighting that reacted to gameplay
- Active gameplay: Blue lighting
- Successful scores: Red lighting
- Custom game programming tied directly to lighting cues and leaderboard updates
Every detail—from lighting reactions to graphic placement—was designed to amplify excitement and keep fans engaged from start to finish.

From Load-In to Kickoff
Executing an activation of this scale required careful coordination and precise timing.
- Load-In: December 29–31, 2025
- Live Event: January 1, 2026
- Load-Out: Immediately following the conclusion of the game
Bluewater handled the full AV integration and on-site execution, ensuring all systems were tested, aligned, and show-ready ahead of kickoff.

Why Fans Stayed
- Hands-on interaction: Fans weren’t spectators—they were players.
- High visibility: LED elements made the activation impossible to miss.
- Replay value: Multiple games encouraged repeat participation.
- Strong brand presence: Capital One branding was integrated throughout the experience.
